| High School Diploma Requirements |
3 Paths to a High School Diploma |
- Completion of all required courses
- Passing Score on GED (when GED PLUS, GED in English,
Spanish or French is your path to a diploma)
- For 2005 Diplomas:
- C or Higher average in English and Math
- For 2006 and later Diplomas:
- Passing score on the California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE)

- The Traditional way of completing 34 required courses (Each course equals 5 credits)
- GED (in English) PLUS
- 10 Courses (50 Credits) in required subjects
- GED (in Spanish or French) PLUS
- 14 Courses (70 Credits) in required subjects

- GED Means:
- General Education Development
- The GED Test is actually 5 different tests. Together they are called a battery:
- Language Arts/Writing (2 Sections)
- Language Arts/Reading
- Social Studies
- Science
- Mathematics (2 Sections)
- We provide onsite GED testing services. The GED test fee is $110.00 for the full test. Retests are $25 each. Free official Practice Tests and English/Spanish GED Test Preparations are available. Please call the Adult Office Counseling Office for specifics.

- To pass the GED requires a minimum of:
- 2250 total points
- No fewer than 410 points in any subject
- An average score of 450
